Frequently Asked Questions.

How are the courses structured?
As much as possible we try to fit in with the needs of the of the business or school in question. Generally we offer a free taster session followed by 3 introductory workshops that cover the core principles of posture, breathing and emotional management - see our Sessions page. Each of these sessions can cater for as many staff members as are able to fit into the venue although realistically any more than about 30 becomes less manageable and the staff members don't get the same level of personal help.

Further training courses are tailored to the specific needs of the organisation.

We can run ongoing stress management sessions to help staff maintain a reduced level of tension. These could be tailored to suit the people attending. Thre are many formats these could take including tai chi or meditation/guided relaxation classes, communication and positive thinking workshops and so on.

Can we measure how successful your training is?
We provide a short stress based questionnaire for your staff for monitoring purposes (please note this is not a full risk assessment). We measure the same responses to certain questions before the courses start, at the conclusion of the introductory workshops and a follow up 3 months later. In this way we can see how permanent the changes are. Naturally you will also be able to see from staff sickness records if the courses have had a positive effect.

I must reiterate that everything that is taught needs to be practiced so that it becomes habitual. You can't expect great results if the staff members don't regularly use the techniques taught to them.

Where are the sessions held
We don't expect your staff to travel out of their way thus adding to their stress and workload so we come to you. Any training room, classroom etc. that can accommodate a group of staff members would be suitable. As mentioned previously the numbers of staff members at each session depends on the size of venue you're able to provide.

What are the costs involved?
That depends on many factors particularly the session length, location and number of attendees of each session. However, expect to budget for no more than £15 per staff member per session. There is, however, a minimum charge of £120 per session so if only 7 members could attend a session the cost could still be £120. The first 'taster session' is free and if you booked the next 2 introductory workshops we could teach a wide range of stress releasing practices to improve your staff members morale and performance for only £30 each. That is a very small investment considering the reduced efficiency of overly stressed staff and the costs involved in paying for staff sickness.
